24 in 12
"Today's print market requires a very narrow window for turnaround," says Eric Edmonds. "Our customers need to present a high-end image in an extremely competitive, volatile market. The reinvestment in new presses made it possible for us to meet our goal of doing 24 hours of work in 12 hours."

Screen's two-up, 4-color TruePress 344,
TruePress is designed to work with Konica Minolta thermal no-process polyester plates, spooled into light-tight cassettes engineered to fit the 344. Plates can be imaged at up to 2400-dpi resolution at screen rulings of 150 or 175 lpi. In addition, Screen includes its Spektra screening method, enabled for AM/FM hybrid screening on the press. prints 7,000 impressions per hour at a 13.4 x 18.5" maximum sheet size with a 13 x 18.1" maximum imaging area. At optimum speed, the 344 will produce a 500-sheet, single-sided job from start to finish in less than 15 minutes. Operators don't have to conduct ink density checks or manually adjust ink or water levels and balance, since real-time analysis of ink levels is monitored through a touch-screen interface located at the delivery. Run data is scanned and analyzed every six sheets. The 344 features a new automatic paper positioning adjustment system in which the operator enters thickness, grade and size on the command console, and the system calculates the adjustments specific to the substrate characteristics. Fitted with an optional inline infrared dryer unit, the press can attain a faster turnaround time for verso printing or finishing. Digital to Offset
